CALL FOR ENTRY: Moving Pictures Film Festival

The Moving Pictures Film Festival is a first time non-profit short film festival put on by the Not So Fine Arts Society of Quincy, Illinois. The overall purpose of this is to not only expose an audience to a diverse collection of films, but also to offer a genuine theatrical experience emphasizing a traditional presentation of cinema. As a film fest we aim to present a wide variety of filmmaking – short films, trailers, documentaries, animation, experimental, music videos, student work, and any micro budget to big budget film in between. Being a first time fest there will be no entry fee or monetary awards given. This is a small fest in a small town with an idea of creating a big show. These films are intended to be used solely to entertain an audience and enhance their appreciation for the filmmaking process. The Moving Pictures Film Festival is about not only exposing you to a new audience, but to expose our audience to something new. SYNOPSIS:

“Supermafia” is a comedy about a mafia boss, Peter (25),who is brutal in front of his men during “business”, but whenever he gets drunk he can’t hide his true nature. He helps people and saves the town from crimes. Bob (65), Peter’s right hand after his father dies, tries to hide Peter’s secret from the rest of the gang. After Peter kills a person for the first time he meets a guy by a cliff. The guy is the person who was homeless, but Peter’s father helped him to make his dream come true. He gives Peter his father’s will video. Peter knows that his father was also a good person and helped people despite being a mafia boss. Peter realizes that he can be as he is. He starts to save more people as a super hero just like his father.
