SYNOPSIS:

As Derek is about to propose to his girlfriend Sara, whom he has been dating for three year,by surprise, he is catches her in the act of cheating on him. Because of this, he decides to break up with her. But even though he hates her for what she did to him, he is still devastated by the breakup. He posts his status about the relationship online on the social network site he belongs to, and a woman, Noreen, who is not even his friend but a friend of a friend, makes a comment that catches his attention. Somehow this one and only comment he got saves him from committing suicide.

Because of this, Derek starts to fall in love with her. He then decides to go see her in real life, and she agrees to see him too. But on the day that they are about to see each other, she does not show up. Because of this, Derek is devastated and heartbroken. Would he see her again? What if she is THE ONE, his SOULMATE.

(The story might be simple, but it has a very good twist in the end. Also very dialogue driven and some emotional scenes, so this would be a great showcase for an actor.)

CHARACTER BREAKDOWNS:

Noreen – Korean American in her late twenties, entrepreneur, introvert yet extrovert when she is online, heartbroken twice.

COMPENSATION: Deferred. Part Ownership of the Film. Profit Sharing. As we progress with our filming, I will also try to get some funding and financing along the way, and after deducting the expenses for the film (production, postproduction, marketing), you will also get a share of this distributed evenly among everyone involved.

I need an Asian American actress needed for this indie drama. Someone with a theater experience is a plus but not required. She should be able to act well. Great showcase material. This indie feature film is already being filmed, and it is more than halfway done. All I need is to film scenes that require this actor. The reason that it is now just being cast is because the other actress who is supposed to play this part dropped out due to busy schedule. This will only require three days of filming for this role.

JACKSON / 25-30yrs/ Caucasian – Upon first glance, it is obvious Jackson possesses charisma and charm. He’s the type you would rather hug then yell at. Yet despite Jackson’s softer side, he carries himself with an air of intelligence and poise. Jackson used to have loads of confidence, had a few setbacks (including the loss of his girlfriend) and is on a journey to restore faith in himself. Looking for someone with captivating eyes, but not strong and sharp features, a young Adrien Brody.

Mari- lead character, African-American, woman, medium complexion, attractive, shoulder length hair, 23-27 years old , 5’3-5’7.
Mari is a quirky, eccentric, writer. Her style is trendy with a mix of classic and hippie. She is comfortable with herself yet insecure as well. She is outgoing at times, and shy at times. She is unpredictable. She curses like a sailor but can have an intelligent conversation as well. She is extremely sarcastic and finds beauty and humor in almost everything. She loves a good time, likes to drink and party but knows when to stop. She is well balanced. She can be harsh on herself and judging of others. Has great comedic timing

Ebony- slender, brown skin, attractive, long hair petite, 23-27 years old
Ebony is a funny, outspoken person. She tells it like it is, sometimes without a filter. She is very sexual and has no shame about it. She is aggressive and does not back down. Ebony gets what she wants and doesn’t care who gets hurt in the process, ruthless. She values her friendships but not more than her relationships. She is also prone to jealousy if she perceives someone is living better than her.

Sky- attractive woman- any ethnicity, any height, 23-27 years old
Sky is laid back. She doesn’t talk much and is passive. She likes to go out, drink and have fun with friends. She is a good listener and offers advice when deemed necessary.

Trish- Any ethnicity, 23-27 years old
Trish is quiet around strangers but opens up around loved ones. She is guarded and rational. She is not too opinionated about much and listens to both sides of a story before forming an opinion. She is a loving friend who puts others first.

Mike- African American male, attractive, 25-32 years old
Mike is charismatic, has “swagger”, a professional and dominant. He is also a romantic at times. Work means a lot to him so he can be distant, but he is a cool, likeable, charming guy.

David- African America male, tall, attractive, 25-30 years old
David is a guy’s guy. He is an athlete who is from a small city. He was raised religiously and is struggling to keep them with his newfound fame as an NBA player where temptation is high.

Kyle- male, attractive 23-30 years old
Kyle is a clean cut, innocent guy with a little humor. He is family oriented and likes good girls.

Jayla- attractive, over the top fashionista, free spirit, loud.

Ethen- Any ethnicity male, average to attractive, 25- 30 years old
Ethen is a funny guy, charismatic, sensitive. Great smile.

SYNOPSIS:

Have or ever had a job you loath? It’s another summer for a nameless manager of a swim club in upper middle class suburbia. The movie begins with this person getting called into work on their day off (Smith, “Clerks” ). The manager encounters lazy employees, nasty children, and a multitude of other rambunctious characters. Throughout the movie the manager notices people over look and not fully appreciate what they have. The manager meanders through life curiously upbeat minus the occasional rant reminiscent of a Holden Caulfield (Sallinger. “The Catcher and the Rye”). And despite being indifferent to many aspects of classic hollywood style productions the manager begins drafting a narrative to reach the public on such issues. The manager attempts to rid the work of authorship and profit as an “independent film” but quickly learns as to the difficulty of the task at hand.

SYNOPSIS:

If guns could talk. What kind of tales would they tell? Like people, guns are dealt their cards at inception. Their scripts have been written the minute the scolding hot iron is shaped and machined. This story will act as the witness for a stolen pistol. From a small time gun runner, to a young guy trying to earn his stripes, a gang banger who lives recklessly and understands the value a gun can have in the hood. Six degrees was influenced by End Of Watch, Crash, and Lord Of War. The perspective for six degrees is to be the pistol, to see what the pistol sees, feel what the pistol feels.

CHARACTER BREAKDOWNS:

Slim: An educated 30 something year old white male with a son and wife. Growing up around less educated hustlers he quickly picked up the game. Knows he is not invincible and plans to stop selling guns once he has enough to provide for his family. Always has his wits about him and rarely shows remorse but deep down he knows that what he is doing is wrong and may ultimately come back to haunt him. Has his reservations and plays a lot close to the chest but confines in Ivan like a brother.

Ivan: A loyal and quiet confidant. Has known Slim for a couple of years now and never questions his actions or motives. Works a 9-5 but not much else is known about him. (He may or may not be a cop)

Mike: A “kid” in his mid 20’s who was born in to wealth but grew up wanting to be a gangster more than anything. His reasons were less about being cool and more about loyalty. He wanted a “family” who had his back no matter what. Never received any attention at home so he went to the streets looking for it. Went to private school but spent most of his time at a nearby public school trying to earn his stripes. No one has ever really taken him seriously and He’s the type that feels as if a gun can and will change that.

Gangster : Like Mike this young man is yearning to be loved but finds it in the wrong places. He is the pistol. He knows that he’ll die at a young age or end up in jail but that no longer bothers him. He’s cold hearted and fears no man. He feels the world has turned its back on him and vise verse. Survival of the fittest.
